The Basics:

HOW MANY FABRICS DO YOU HAVE?

At any given fitting appointment, our Fit Specialist will have with him anywhere between 600 ā€“ 2,000 fabrics and for different price points. We create suits out of the most popular textiles and for the most traditional suit styles. 

CAN I CUSTOMIZE MY SUIT? IS IT INCLUDED IN THE PRICE OF MY ORDER?

Yes of course. We have many customization options available for you to choose from all included with your order. 

WHERE ARE YOUR SUITS MADE?

We source some of the most finest fabrics in the world from many renowned fabrics mills. We have a combination of Italian, Australian, and Asian merino wool fabrics for you to select from. Our buttons travel from Mongolia, shoulder pads from Germany, and canvases from Australia. Fitting measurements and CAD designs are captured and produced in Toronto, Canada. All these moving pieces come together to form a beautifully constructed garment in Montreal, Canada. 

ARE ALL OF YOUR SUITS CANVASED?

Yes, with horsehair interlining. Both half and full canvassing is offered. We also do unstructured blazers that have no canvassing. 

Fitting Appointment:

WHO WILL I MEET WITH DURING MY FITTING APPOINTMENT?

You will meet with one of trained Fit Specialists . Our Fit Specialists will take your points of measurement, draft your unique auto-cad fit, go over all of our design and fabric options and perform your second fitting and fit-check and provide any alteration if necessary.

HOW LONG IS ONE FITTING APPOINTMENT?

On average, each fitting appointment is roughly 1 hour. Even if most of our clients do not use up the entire hour. One hour gives us enough time to collect your measurements, design your suit, get to know you and answer any questions you have for us. We aim to make this as seamless as possible. 

Payment and Confirmation:

HOW MUCH DOES A SUIT COST?

Suits start at $650. We make suits that meet different price points and for a variety of occasions. Let us know what kind of suit you are looking for and we will let you know how we can help. Contact us at hello@coatpent.com.

WHEN DO I ACTUALLY PAY FOR SUIT?

You will required to provide a deposit upon order. The balance is to be provided upon delivery of your garment. We accept all forms of payment (Cash, Interac, Credit). 

IF I WANT TO CHANGE A DESIGN DETAIL AFTER I PAY FOR THE SUIT AND HAVE HAD ORDER CONFIRMATION, CAN I DO THAT?

Yes and No. We typically process the order 24-48 hours after payment. If it has been 4-5 days post-payment and order confirmation you may be out of luck. Contact your fit specialist immediately to see if we can change a detail. 

Delivery:

WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY SUIT?

For a suit with one of our in-house fabrics , you can expect to receive your suit 4-6 weeks after you place your order after your first fitting. If you order one of our exclusive cut length fabrics it may take an additional week or two. 

CAN YOU EXPEDITE THE PRODUCTION OF MY SUIT?

We can offer an expedited service in case you are in a very large time crunch. This service charge is $150.

HOW DO YOU SHIP THE SUIT?

Each suit is hung on a premium wooden suit hanger and placed inside a durable garment bag before we pack it into a large garment box and ship it to you. Our packing ensures that your suit will not get wrinkled during transit. In fact, you can literally wear it right out of the box.

After you receive your suit, we recommend that you wear it 1-2 times before you meet us for a second fitting and/or get any alterations. Use this time to break into your suit and allow time for your suit to mold to the shape of your body. This will allow us to see how the suit naturally drapes on your body.

Alterations:

WHAT IS YOUR ALTERATION POLICY FOR WHEN I RECEIVE MY SUIT?

If your suit requires additional tailoring to complete the look, we will take care of the alterations in-house. You will not pay for alterations. We require that you use our in-house service and leave the suit with us. If the suit is shipped to you (International/National), we will credit or reimburse for any alterations used by a third party tailor up to a value of $75.00 (CAD) inclusive of any taxes. We require you to email any receipts associated with the alteration of the particular suit to be emailed to us at hello@coatpent.com. 

Suits for Special Occasions:

Iā€™M GETTING MARRIED AND WANT TO GET A MADE-TO-MEASURE SUIT FOR THE WEDDING. HOW MUCH TIME IN ADVANCE OF THE WEDDING DATE SHOULD I BE FITTED?

At least 2 months in advance of the day you plan to wear the suit. We understand it is a special occasion, but we need your participation to offer a seamless experience.

I AM ATTENDING A BLACK-TIE EVENT AND NEED A TUXEDO FOR IT. DOES COATPENT MAKE TUXEDOS?

Yes, we makes tuxedos! Schedule your fitting appointment at least 2 months in advance of the day you plan to wear the tuxedo and we will have one of our Fit Specialists will work with you to design a tuxedo that meets your needs.
